We at Carmel Boutique Inns feel it is the Inns responsibility to put forward every effort we can for our guests to have an enjoyable stay. As well, we want to provide all the necessary service and conveniences leaving as little of a Carbon Footprint in the process.

• Our amenities such as soaps and shampoos are purchased from a environmentally friendly company.
• The majority of our cleaning product is non-toxic
• Our robes are made of a renewable material.
• We offer recycling receptacles throughout the properties.
• Our pathways are swept when possible and we only use electric blowers when   necessary.
• We offer fresh drinking water from a reverse osmosis filtration system.
• When ever we need to make a choice in purchasing a new product we always look   for a "green" alternative.
• Our canteen campaign is to help reduce bottled water on our property as well as   give a gift that continues the effort.
• The pens we give our guest are quite unique and recyclable and also made from   recycled product.
• Efforts are made to buy local products in hopes to decrease travel and shipping   needs.

In doing these things we know we have only scratched the surface of what is attainable in this area. We welcome any thoughts, ideas and of course suggestions.
